Fall Vegetable Gardening

Time to get ready for the Fall vegetable garden!

 Sumter County Ag Center in Bushnell (Sumter Fairgrounds)

UF/IFAS Sumter County Extension Master Gardeners present The Evening Gardener Speaker Series on Fall Vegetable Gardening. Whether you want to plant a little lettuce in a box, a tomato in a pot, a 10 x 10 garden or an acre, you should attend this class. Learn how to properly prepare your soil, planting dates, fertilizer requirements, composting, varieties that work best in our zone, easy herbs to grow and more! Plus, we'll have our popular plant give-away!

Turf Talk Speaker Series

UF/IFAS Sumter County Master Gardeners present a speaker the 4th Tuesday of each month.
This will be the last talk on turf for 2014.

Bradenton Plant Q & A  is a monthly event held the 1st Thursday of every month.

 Thursday, August 7th
 1:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
 Bradenton Recreation Center

A panel of Sumter County Master Gardeners hold an open forum for residents of The Villages. Ask questions about any problems with turf, plants, or pests in your landscape. Feel free to bring pictures or parts of plants that you want to talk about.

Remember to bring your Village ID.
