Troop 157 Tenative Field Trip List for 2006-2007
You can sign up for the trips that interest you at the beginning or the end of our meetings. Please pick and choose the trips that are right for your daughter, your schedule, and your budget. We don't expect every girl to go on every trip.
PLEASE PUT THE DATES OF MEETINGS AND FIELD TRIPS YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND ON YOUR CALENDAR!! We will not be making reminder calls! If you are not sure what you have signed up for, or when it is, please contact Barb! Times listed indicate the starting time of the event. We meet at Coebourn and carpool to some trips, in other cases each family provides their own transportation - be sure to ask about the travel arrangements and meeting time!
PRICES: The troop will contribute some of the price for most events, but this year we are asking that you contribute also, since last year we lost a considerable amount of money when folks signed up for trips but didn't attend. For the prices below, in some cases the troop will pay half - ask if you're not sure. (Usually the troop pays half for the girls at Shelly Ridge programs, but we charge full price for programs from the local council.) We are not yet sure we can get tickets for some of the events at Shelly Ridge- the registration process is a bit tricky - we will let you know. In some cases, we will need to know if you are planning to go 5-6 weeks before the event, as we must confirm our reservation at that time.
WHO CAN GO: All girls attending must be registered Girl Scouts. In some cases, siblings who are scouts may attend; in other cases, they are not allowed because the program is designated for a particular age - please ask! In some cases, the number of adults is limited, usually for space reasons. (In these cases, non-participating adults who drive to the program can wait outside.) In some cases, adults who attend must pay a fee. All adults who attend must be registered as a Girl Scout member and have a completed volunteer application including child abuse and criminal background clearance on file at the council office. Ask a Leader about this.
OUR EMAIL GROUP: Please make sure you are on the Troop 157 email list - this is how we will communicate between meetings about these trips. Ask at the meeting if you are not on the list, or if you are not sure.
