TLC God’s Way (Teaching, Learning, Creating God’s Way)
We are a Homeschooling Group of Christian Families that meets once a week at Faith Community Church in Brookhaven, PA.  We strive to give the children the best education we can provide, and feel that by sharing this with other like-minded families, we can enrich their education as well as their lives.   We are different from many other co-ops in that all of our classes are taught by the mom's in the co-op, except for the high school program.  Our morning academic program is a drop off program however, we encourage parental involvement.  Our afternoon enrichment program is a cooperative and not a drop off, meaning each Mom has service requirements that involve either teaching and or assisting in classes.  The high school program which is a drop off,  is taught by teachers who have expertise in the subject area or are qualified to teach a specific subject. Our classes change from year to year; however, we usually include art and gym for all age groups.  We have classes for all ages, from preschool through high school.  (Updated 02/2014)

Growing Without Schooling
Alas, GWS has ceased publication. My favorite homeschooling magazine. Not a how-to magazine, rather it's full of articles from parents and kids about their lives - ideas and problems that have come up, what they've tried, and how it worked for them. Thoughtful and wise.

Home Education Magazine
A nice magazine. Preschool through college. Great resources column. Completely different from GWS.

See my School District Problems page for a list of local lawyers and national organizations offering legal support for homeschoolers.

Homeschoolers have a lot of choices. Please take the information you find useful from these pages and ignore the rest.

Many people, including me, will give opinions on the PA homeschooling law.  I believe that everyone should read The PA Home Education Law for themselves, read a few opinions about it, and decide for themselves what approach makes sense for their family.

I might be wrong! I am not a lawyer! Your circumstances may be different! This page, and others on this site, are not intended as legal advice. School districts vary considerably in their interpretation of the home education law. Please double-check legal information with appropriate sources. In particular, the PA Dept. of Ed. may be helpful.
