Focal Ratio? Declination? Ecliptic? If you are new to this hobby some of these words might seem Greek to you. I've tried to throw together as many of the common terms used in astronomy and a brief description here. Some of these word you might have seen in my "Before you buy a telescope" section. This list has those words plus other words that don't apply to parts of a telescope, but to observing as well as general words related to astronomy.
