They always pick on the rookie...... This was Johnny's first time riding any ATV. The DS650 rider thought he was cool....for 2 minutes at least!! Well the 650 rides up thinking he's cool.... He challenges Johnny to a race... Well, our other friend John had something to say about it. He rolled up and challenged the DS to a drag race. He even gave the DS a head start because he had an extended swingarm. They raced up and down the strip and both times, the DS was left in the dust by the 250R. I hope to have a video link for this in the future.		My friend John came up with an idea a couple years ago. He heard about riding in the sand dunes on Lake Michigan. So, with a little planning, we rented a motorhome, loaded up the bikes and were off to Michigan. 6 friends piled into a motorhome for a week of riding and vacation. We stayed at Silver City II Campgroungs. We specifically asked for a place that we can make noise and not have a problem. I tell you this...it's a good thing that we were all close friends. 6 to 8 people stuffed into a motorhome for a week can be tough. We had some great times though. On this particular trip, the motorhome broke down on the side of the highway and we had to stay overnight in Burea, Ohio. We set up camp at the local tow truck yard and partied all night. As you can see, during the week, we had the place to ourselves. On the weekends, it got busy, but for the most part, we had the place to ourselves. Our first year, we had to learn a lot, but in the following years, we made some improvements that made our trips a little easier. First of all, John bought an enclosed trailer so we could take extra bikes in case we had a major breakdown. When we got to the dunes we were in awe. These pictures were from the weekend, but during the week, we had the whole place to ourselves. The weekdays were fun because we could have the place to ourselves, but the weekends rock! There are so many bikes, ORVs and random creations to race up and down the dunes.  Lets look at some action pics....I wish we had something like this close to NY.
