About Aubrey:

  • For 2004, Aubrey was ranked the #3 Briard in Agility by the AKC.

  • Aubrey is our first purebred Briard. He is well-mannered and sweet-tempered.
  • Aubrey is very steady, some of this being his nature combined with good socialization and training.
  • Aubrey is very gentle and friendly; he gets along well with animals and people.
  • Aubrey loves children, and enjoys their company. Eventually, he may do therapy work.
  • Aubrey likes to talk and sing, and is a fan of Roy Orbison.
  • Aubrey is hard working - whether it be dog sports, obedience, or modeling for the camera. It is all play to him.
  • Aubrey has a sense of humor. This was not lost on us in his early training!
  • Aubrey will be protective if the opportunity arises. He is very subtle about positioning himself between us and others, yet he is friendly about it and is slow to respond negatively to people.

    • Health:

    The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) has rated Aubrey's hips as excellent, and his elbows as normal. His most recent eye exam was in the spring of 2006, and was certified as normal by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). His thyroid is normal, but has not been registered with OFA. He has been certified as being genetically normal/clear for Congenital Stationary Night Blindness (CSNB), by Optigen. The Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) has registered Aubrey as CHIC#: 39836.
