**Looking for anyone interested in attending a once a week Bible Study group at the Avonmore Senior Center on Monday afternoons at 12:30 pm.  This is a non-denominational group, who meet to discuss the bible and also to reflect on what the readings mean to them.  Everyone is welcome.  Please join us whether you are a Senior Center member or not.

Avonmore Area Food Bank

The Food Bank is housed in St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, The Food Bank provides needed foods to some of the local area families. Donations can be mailed to The Avonmore Food Bank, St. Ambrose RC Church, PO Box 617,     Avonmore, PA 15618 or donations can be brought to St. Ambrose Church. The food is distributed at St. Ambrose Church on the last Thursday of every month from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. St. Ambrose is located on the corner of Cambria Avenue & Fifth Street in Avonmore. In September the food bank distributed food to 28 families counting 61 people. There were 13 volunteers helping. The next distribution will be on Thursday Novenber 19th

Head Start is a federal funded quality preschool program, The Northern Outreach Center is located in Hebron Lutheran Church, 601 Cambria Avenue, Avonmore, PA  15618. Head Start is available to all preschool children and families of the surrounding area. Please call the Head start office at 724-697-5097 for additional information.
