The AXE Team

The team consists of a group of people who somehow always wound up racing together anyway!! The team is unique in the sense that there is no structure - no captain, co-captain, council members etc... The AXE jacket just lets other racers know that the person wearing it is a fun racer, sometimes very fast, who doesn't bail, whine or screw up races!! whew!!

It was with some trepidation that we put on the AXE jacket for the first time .... but now, after sticking to our principles - that fun comes before speed and that participating fairly in a race comes before winning, the AXE jacket has reminded the MTM community what teams are all about ... Some of the older teams had lost sight of that ..... the fun seemed to have gone out of the game .... they look at AXE and are reminded of how their teams were, what seems a long time ago ....

The MTMA Tournament of Champions and the series of tournaments that led up to it proved that AXE could be fast when needed ... and still enjoy the game. Coming 4th overall in the TOC was no mean feat ... we will always be proud of that, but now we are even stronger and are looking forward to the next series of tournaments with great anticipation.

The team mascot is Otto Boot, who, upon hearing the word 'rumble' in an AXE game room, OTTOmatically Boots the culprit saying that word!!
