TRAX

Z-M-X (Zoon’s Moto Cross) is a cool track with one very tricky big jump. It is fast and tight with multiple racing lines, and is a fun multiplayer track. This track won the MTMG Winter 99 Track competition. Fast laps are in the 1:29 range.

The sequel to the popular Zoon Coaster, this track has more of a roller coaster effect and is characterized by a dramatic jump onto what looks like a series of steps which you have to hit right or you go tumbling al the way down. There are invisible barriers so you can’t actually fall off  … Fun track..Fast lap 2:10 RIP_RoadRunner.

This is Bug’s first track and it is a promise of more good tracks to come. It has a nice line with lots of twists and turns. A few jumps are thrown in for good effect. A simple track with good multiplayer action, along the lines of Knot Fun and other simple, fun racing tracks. Fast lap 1:44 SWAMPER.

This is a new concept in track design. Guitar Bill has built a virtual world called Cumbria, and has made 5 different tracks in that world - Rally+ (a long rally),  Dirt Trail and By-ways (shorter rallys), Town Loop (circuit) and the CnR, which has the whole 'Cumbria' wrld as its scope. All the trees, buildings, roads, bridges and other objects are in the same places in all the tracks - the only differences are the course routes and the  locations of the checkpoints. This is a unique concept, and its going to be challenging  -- this one need to be investigated and run quite a few times before one gets used to it. Knot Fun

In this track Devildog has applied the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle to perfection. A true multiplayer racing track - we have raced 8 on this track without lag. Fast, twisty and furious, this track has enough twists, turns and jumps to keep you on your toes. Great fun with lots of people - trucks flying everywhere. He wanted to add more bins and textures, but was forced to leave it as it was. This one is much easier though, fast and furious, but without as much altitude changes as you would expect in a roller coaster. A fun ride, nevertheless, well worth the download. One thing about Valvejob, his tracks are never boring. His tracks are always innovative and challenging, and this one is no exception. Some racers might think that he went over the top on this one, with all the red and the futuristic atmosphere, but after running it a few times, it kinda grows on you.  Watch out for the train with the drill bit in front, hehe ... Tundra Madness in LA

The Hill

I think this track (his 4th) evolved while Spreker was making his unreleased 1st track, also called The Hill, however, this track became something completely different - no sign of a hill anywhere except in the name, LOL. Anyway, it is an enjoyable track nonetheless, a fast, wide track, excellent for multiplayer games, with enough dangerous twists and turns to keep you on your toes. A recommended download, and if you don't have his other three, get those as well!!

This is a track that is both fun and challenging to race. It has shortcuts that could prove disastrous if you crash or a real time saver if you succeed. Mudder has copied a classic track and has not changed the original track layout nor has he changed the mtm1 water. It would have been nice if Mudder had changed the water and made this a real mtm2 track. However, he did change the trees to look like real trees. Some of these trees were placed to eliminate the first shortcut between checkpoints 1 and 2. This change proves frustrating and takes the challenge out of trying the shortcut to save time.  For those of you who have the classic Andies Mountain track, which also runs in MTM2, by Jeff Barnes, or have raced it in the past, you will be disappointed with the remake. I guess I was a bit dissappointed by this one. Nice eye-candy (Alpine's trademark), but I was expecting a bit more from this collaboration of great track makers. 'Nice Track' is the best I can come up with. I guess these guys are so involved with their custom bins and textures that the actual track itself is an afterthought. Also, I was a bit put  off by the narcissistic pasting of their names on every building. I guess a lot of people are gonna be running it so you better d/l it. Fast lap 1:08 AXE_Devildog.

This is his 3rd track (Grasshopper and Spinout were the other two). This is a departure from the C98 type paved road circuits that his other tracks were. Nice racing track with a good layout and banked turns, its a fun track all the way. There is a fixed version out there (Some unexpected shortcuts have been fixed) so make sure you get the right one. Swiss Alps 2

  Not really a new track, but an updated version of one of our favorite tracks of all time ... The AI is improved (the computer trucks now run it in about 1:55) and so is the graphics and sound. The road and grass textures are also now "perfect". The track (thankfully) is just the same. This is a MotoCross type track, based on one of Wisconsin's finest natural tracks. In the author's words .. It has a couple sections that you'll want to remember, full throttle is not necessarily the ticket. The small drop-off is obvious, but a couple other spots there are several ways to take them. you can go fulltilt, but ya might pay. lets just say, i warned ya!! hehe. Wild Rampage

Following the popular "Racine Outback" and groundbreaking "Button Hook", Spreker's third track, Wild Rampage,  is more conventional. In Spreker's own words, "Wild Rampage is a road track with very fast lines, and some tight hairpin turns. The original design was based on an old-time favorite of mine, Round and Round. This is an aptly named track ... it has a mix of tight areas that you have to thrash though to high speed banked turns to timed MX style jumps. This track takes a little getting used to, but it is a fun, thrilling ride all the same. Eeeeman, after the enormous lag in Kenowhere Co., has taken steps to reduce lag in this track and it is only in the tunnels that you may see your frame rate drop slightly. Download it. Anaheim Supercross

A new Yeastman track is always an event. This one is a SuperCross, with 150 custom textures wrapped around 25 models and an all new layout that crosses itself 7 separate times on the stadium floor. Indio Desert

This track is part paved road and part dirt, so the tire setting is a bit of a challenge. Other challenges include a large number of obstacles in the road, forcing the racer to slow down in a number of places. A new feature in this track is the presence of ramps, helping you to jump over some of the obstacles. As VJ explained in the readme file : I'm guessing that some racers out there have never encountered MTM2 ramps before. If you hit a ramp dead-on you'll shoot forward low and level, preserving your speed. If you mishit a ramp, anything can happen. Don't accelerate or brake too hard on a ramp. Watch out for CP 2. It's easy to miss, and difficult to get back to. A fun track once you get over the initial frustrations, it's an automatic download, as are all his tracks. There are some extremely difficult but spectacular shortcuts - The Big Cow, The Sundial, The Gunsight ... find them all.

pIn§aNe

This is PinWzrd's first track and is an outstanding first attempt. He did get a little carried away, though and has just a bit too much crammed into one track. The first few laps might drive you "pIn§aNe", with the map being quite complex and the heli apparently having a mind of its own, but once you get to know the track it is a very enjoyable drive. The track features true banked turns: 90 & 180 degree variety, has a 270 degree turn as well! Another cool feature is a  suspended Ground Block to display MTM2 Team Logos on. Lebanon Valley Speedway

Very simple track. Just a straight line which you complete in about 15 sec or so. Great fun though, and I see it as an ideal way to test truck speeds and settings without having external factors and other obstructions come into play. Prideaux Pass

This track is set in the vicinity of Proximity Pass, but that is where the similarity ends, This track is longer and more challenging, and needs a lot of skill to find a good fast line through the sand, water, train wrecks and tunnels. We All Suck

This track is a longish circuit, with an unnecessarily bumpy track. Part of the track is not there at all (The marshland, I believe its called) and is not drivable imho.... One reason to download this track is to check out the list of 'Cool People and Teams' a huge field in which there are a bunch of names ... see if you or your team is featured ....

This is a very enjoyable rally, making interesting use of altitude and textures. A fun ride. A pro drivers track. Some of the jumps are very tricky and missing them can land you in deeeeep trouble.

Misty Mountain Hop

This is set to run in dusk by default, and is a fast drive through a winding mountain road. The track is narrow in parts and taking those bends at high speed requires some skill. A multiplayer track, the computer trucks just don't see to cut it. A good job by Bowtie and I feel it is worth the download.

Black Fork

This is MIYH's first track, but it hopefully won't be his last. A fun drive, it is challenging as well. A couple of tips - keep to the right going up the hill where it is washed out, and slow down a bit before the big jump... you will then get into the mine, and is drier going across the water ... the water is deeeeeep there. One thing I felt marred an otherwise great track  is the looooong train at the end, though you can (it seemed) drive through the train in places , or drive around it, though it might be a long detour as the train is really long. On the whole though, a fun track and well worth the download. After running it a bit I realized that you could jump over the train if you make the decision early enough, so the presence of the train only adds to the enjoyment of the track, and doesn't detract from it! This is CR250 (AKA MTF_Executioner's) 1st track. He took a break from hosting tourneys for THIS? (j/k). This is a driver's track and if you love driving, you'll love this track. Racine Outback

This is Spreker's first released track. I hope he releases his first MADE track too (Sprek's Peak). The feeling is of wide open spaces and looong straights, wide track (except for the checkpoints, hehe). There are some very interesting parts, such as the spiral or corkscrew just before CP1 and the hidden short cut (find it yourself!!). Zoon Trip 99

As the name suggests, this is more like a trip than a race, and as with al the Zoon tracks I've seen, this one has superb custom textures and spectacular scenery. A longish track (5 min or so), a pleasant drive around changing terrain.

This is a PRO Moto Cross and Super Cross style track with whoops, Triples, Doubles berms, rithium sections and even a Quadruple jump. Timing is everything in this track - you need to time the jumps right to get a good line on this track. Fast lap : 2:29 by AXE_Devildog.

I guess the comparison with Bankrole is going to be inevitable. This one is so much like it that people are already calling it Bankrole 2. Look and feel is the same and has the same high speed and banked turns which we loved. Much shorter though, first cut lap times seem to be in the region of 2:15 though i guess that number will be falling fast (AXE_Devildog/AXE_FEAK 2:09). I guess I was a bit  disappointed at first because I was expecting something different, but after running it a few times i find it to be  faster, and more exhilarating a ride than, dare I say it?, Bankrole. I'm sure this track is going to be a great success and is a fast, fun ride all the way!! Note also that the track layout spells RPM! cute! A must download. Good job, Behihm ... One thing about Anarchy ... his tracks are never dull. This is set inside an oil refinery and has refreshingly short lap times (less than 40 sec laps). After all those 5 min plus tracks, this comes  like a breath of fresh air. Fast, tight and fun.

Fun  track, fast and drives very smooth, tough too, beautiful scenery. All in all a great start to the New Year to have tracks like this!! A trifle long, but a fun ride all the way. A good lap is 5:45 Min. (BUZZZ ran 5:35 on his 1st ever lap!!!) Watch for the invisible jump and the helicopters!!! Instant classic.

A remake of Mudweiser for MTM1, this is a mud speedway track that is way cool. It was a hit in MTM1 as I understand, and is sure to be a hit in MTM2 too. MoNkEY spent over 100 hours making this track, and it shows .. go get it!!
