Jury has started to be engaged in a photo since an early youth - from the father who was lost in accident, there were two old cameras. But once has learnt, that it is possible to photograph at a short distance, close up, and on slides - so, that the colour image can be projected on the big self-made screen. Has managed to earn on "mirror" camera "Zenith" and lengthening rings. And … has begun!
The first picture - a bumblebee on a dandelion - has remembered well. The familiar, habitual bumblebee reminded a fantastic bear cub from a children's fairy tale … Then there were infinite travel with the camera - in "jungle" of a court yard, city park, in Moscow suburbs and, at last, on the huge native land occupying then 1/6 parts of the world. Ten thousand colour slides which showed independently, making difficult developers on ancient grandmother's chemist's scales … Set of articles in different magazines ("the Family and school" in one of numbers has named its pictures "out of competition - within a genre …") about the surprising world of insects, spiders, plants - the world which is literally at us underfoot but which in vanity and the blindness we almost and do not notice. The set of books about this world is read and … two ten is written now by him. Both for the smallest, and for absolutely adult.
The life full of fascinating adventures … the Rare, unique shots... Here it goes to the Far East, to Primorski Krai, under the invitation of the reader of its book "Jungle in a court yard".

… Perlamutrovka Penelopa was considered as the died out butterfly, only two its copies caught in the middle of the last century, remained in a collection of the Entomologichesky museum in London. But 70 one of the central newspapers publishes the message in the beginning that Soviet scientist A.I.Kurentsov "with risk for a life, among rocks" has found a place of dwelling of "relict" in our Southern Primorski Krai. Event has been noted all over the world … Kurentsov has died, but its young assistant and follower Vladimir Meshcherjakov has remembered a unique place and - has invited the writer-naturalist, photographer J.Tosika to try to find and photograph together the butterfly. The writer has arrived, but from Arsenyev's city where veins Meshcherjakov, to a treasured place - 200 kilometres, and the transport is not present … the Non-party writer goes to a local party committee, and … to it will organise a taxi with the counter. At the expense of the City town committee. The phenomenal trip by a taxi in an Ussuriisk territory jungle has crowned fantastic success: For short time it was possible to find and photograph the most unique butterfly! Photos of the beauty was not at anybody in the world!
… Tajikistan. Mysterious gorge on the bank of the river Vakhsh. The local collector and scientist Oleg Legezin has found here tiny population of the rare butterfly with beautiful name pontija Glaukonoma. And … has invited J.Tosika to itself. The pictorialist has managed to make slides of rare creation, yes what! The moment of pairing of the male and a female in natural conditions...
There and then it was possible to photograph very small (one and a half centimetre in wingspan) Golubjanku Trohuljus at the moment of putting off jaichek - before scientists precisely did not know, what plant is fodder for the tiny butterfly. J.Tosika's pictures, thus, have got not only aesthetic, but also scientific value.
Again Southern Primorski Krai. The worker of reserve "Cedar pad", the forester, the professional photographer-animal painter four and a half a year searched for a unique blue bug with beautiful name Rozalija Ussuriisk. Two years searched for it and A.I.Kurentsov … to Jury who has arrived as a part of the Moscow biological expedition, it was possible to find in the first campaign and - to embody a blue handsome man on slides … Then the largest bug of Russia - relic man with a big moustache Kallipogon has been removed also...

Uzbekistan. It is found and removed by close up - in all shot! - small, but very beautiful, rare spider Erezus niger. The well-known J admired with these slides of the Russian pictorialist then. Darrell, visited Russia (J.Tosika's some photos are in the book izd. Macmillan "Darrell in Russia").
Such histories - set. In the foreword to Jury's first "naturalists'" book the known scientist and TV presenter Nikolay Drozdov has compared our compatriot to the great French scientist, the father entomologii, Jean-Anri Fabrom.

I was especially amazed with the history told in its book "the Moon over desert" where it, in particular, describes expedition to Southern Kazakhstan, in Syr-Darya tugai. Having become interested in the butterfly Solar gipermnestroj, he has decided to photograph it by all means. These "butterflies of colour of an ivory" flied near to forwarding parking, on the burning sun. Any of them close did not admit. At first. But gradually "relations with one of these butterflies have so approached", that to it it was possible not only to creep up to it sitting on a bush kermeka, and almost closely to edify an objective of the camera, but … a finger of other hand cautiously to move apart to it wings! The matter is that the butterfly, rescuing the paunch from the sun, put wings "small house", and Jury would like to remove it with wings open, in all beauty. And it was possible to it, not catching the butterfly, not causing it the slightest harm! "From its permission" …
Such histories - set, I do not doubt their truthfulness. Here again - a solution. Jury Tosik photographs not "objects" of the nature. It embodies the LIVE. With which always enters certain relations. And "objects" answer it with love for love …
There are scientists, photographers who with a head leave in the trade and do not react on what another. The outlook of this person is amazing on the width. Jury Tosik - the author of several tens ostrosotsialnyh products (some of them are not published yet). Its first story has been printed in A.T.Tvardovskogo's magazine "New world". And the novel "Pyramid" written in a genre art dokumentalistiki (it is published in magazine "Banner"), became the best seller at the height of "reorganisation" of the end 80, occupied one of the uppermost lines of "a rating of reader's interest". One more novel - "Presentation" (where the thorny questions of "Post-Soviet" time are mentioned) Recently has come out. Behind it - the big, serious book "Treachery in the law"...
