S/Sgt Thomas R. Holliday's hometown was Henderson, Kentucky.  He entered the service at Camp Allerbury, Indiana at 17 years of age.  He recieved his parachute training at Fort Benning, GA and joined the 504th in Anzio.  S/Sgt. Holliday arrived in Europe at Casablanca, N. Africa.  He jumped into Holland and served as a BAR Man with 1st platoon.  S/Sgt. Holliday took part in the Anzio, Normandy, Holland, Ardennes and Germany operations.

He considers the Battle at Cheneux during the "Battle of the Bulge" to be the 504th Greatest Accomplishment.
