Sgt. John W. Kellogg was originally from Los Angeles County, California. He enlisted on February 14, 1942 at Los Angeles, CA.  He was born in the state of Idaho. During Operation Market Garden he was captured on September 27, 1944 and was held as a Prisoner of War at Stalag 3C located in Drewitz Brandenburg, Prussia.  He was reported as returned to Military Control March 27, 1945.
