Pvt. Anthony Zdancewicz's hometown was Sugar Notch, Pennsylvania.  He entered the service at Camp Wheeler in 1942 at 19 years of age.  He recieved his parachute training at Fort Benning, GA and joined the 504th after the Salreno operation.  Pvt. Zdancewicz arrived aboard the Empress of Scotland in Europe at the Naples/Foggia camp in Italy.  He jumped into Holland .  Pvt. Zdancewicz  took part in the Anzio, Holland, Ardennes and Germany operations.

He considers the Battle at Cheneux during the "Battle of the Bulge" to be the 504th's Greatest Accomplishment.
