Model 1937 field shovel with blackened iron metal and wooden handle. Two holes in the shovel head allowed attachment to the carrier.

Infantry pick axe used by infantry, Bersaglieri and Alpini. One end had a pick and the other an axe carried on the belt or knapsack.
