MOMS Club Committees/Events

Book Club
The book club meets once a month for lunch and discussion of the latest book they are reading. When reading a particular book may take everyone longer than a month to read, usually alternative plans are made instead of a discussion, like story time and crafts for the children.

Buddy Program
Each new member to the MOMS Club are assigned to a "veteran" member who can call them to touch base, say hello, and answer any questions the new member may have. The "veteran" members will encourage the new members to get involved with the events.

Celebration
This committee turns our holiday parties into something magical. Special crafts, snacks, guests, and/or music!

Door Prize Program - OPEN to everyone!
At the monthly member meetings, we will occasionally give out some fun, small door prizes. If you know of a business interested in contributing a prize in exchange for free advertising, let one of the board members know.

Kid's Craft
Each Month an exciting craft is planned for the kids. Most are themed to go with the season or closest holiday.

Mom's Craft
This commitee is currently seeking a charimom to plan a craft for mom's each month.

Moms Night Out
The chair mom schedules one event per month especially for the moms. Some popular activities are game nights, pool parties, crafts, and eating, of course.

Nominating
Annually, the MOMS Club holds elections for officers. The nominating committee solicits interest in the various positions available. The chair mom oversees the committee's efforts and presents a list of nominees for the election.

Playgroups
The coordinators match up kids and moms into playgroups that are age appropriate. Playgroups usually meet on a weekly basis at club member's houses.

Brunch Bunch
Do you like to cook? Then this committee is for you. The Brunch Bunch meets once a month for lunch to try out new foods.

Scrapbook
We have a scrapbook for our club, where we will keep photos, newspaper articles, and other memorabilia to document our club's activities and history. This will be a really nice thing to display at our meetings for our enjoyment, and so that new members can see what we're all about. There will be a box at the meetings to collect any contributions, and the book will be updated periodically. Contributions may consist of (but are not limited to): photographs - please put month & year, the event, and any names of moms and kids on the back, ticket stubs, and brochures.

Service Projects
Each chapter of the MOMS Club performs at least one service project benefiting kids each year. The chair mom, together with her committee, coordinates and carries out these projects, which can be as small as collecting toys for tots or conducting a fashion show with proceeds benefiting a local children's charity.

Sunshine
This committee is responsible for providing a meal to members who have had babies, surgery, or a death in the family. All are times when a little help is greatly appreciated. If you can volunteer to make a meal for someone in their time of need, please call Tammy. Also, if you are the mom in need, don't hesitate to take advantage of this great MOMS Club benefit.
