"Proposed improvement of American justice"
(3 February 1994) [Intended addressee unknown]

According to the news, Lorena Bobbitt shortened her husband by several inches and was found innocent of any crime by the court. There seems to be not much doubt that her husband was a low-life, but it does not seem quite right that Lorena should get away scot-free.

Also according to the news, the average convicted rapist gets sentenced to only eight years in the slammer and usually gets out after about three. That does not seem quite right either, especially since they frequently repeat their crimes once they are free.

Considering these two problems together, we see a simple and logical solution for both of them: make Lorena the judge in a court which tries rape and child molestation cases. Lorena gets her punishment: she has to associate with lawyers for the rest of her life. And convicted rapists get a punishment which makes it quite certain that they will never repeat the offense. Justice is served all around!...
