Letter to a U.S. Congressman (17 July 1998)

I spent the years of World War II in Poland, as an intelligence officer with the Polish Home Army, took part in the Warsaw Insurrection of 1944, and became a prisoner of war in Germany. After the liberation in 1945, knowing that the allies had betrayed Poland and given it to Communist Russia for occupation, I decided not to return to my homeland. The fact that millions of Poles were killed by Roosevelt's friend "Uncle Joe" proved that I made the right decision. In 1952, after service with the British occupational forces in Germany, I emigrated to the United States. I was surprised and horrified by much of what I saw. As an old intelligence officer, I had no trouble seeing that the United States was being subverted by a "fifth column" of Communists, Communist sympathizers, and "useful idiots," as Lenin once called them. Religion, morality, patriotism, the schools, and the justice system were all under attack.

A few months after arriving in this country, I went to the FBI and discussed my observations and conclusions with a FBI agent, who presented himself as a retired US Army Major-Intelligence. This is what he told me: "You are absolutely right. We know what is going on. Unfortunately, if we try to alert Senators and Congressmen about the threat, they throw our warnings in the trash, because this kind of thing is not popular with their constituents. If you want to make a difference, go into politics and scream about what is going on." As a new emigrant who was still learning English, I was in no position to go into politics. I did promise, however, that I would not cease to "scream" about these matters.

For years, I have kept that promise. I have sent, literally, thousands of letters to presidents, to members of Congress, to politicians, to organizations, and to the newspapers. Hundreds of those letters have been published in various papers.

Many of these items have retained their relevance. Today's attack against religion, morality, patriotism, and all of America's institutions comes from the same groups, and uses the same kinds of techniques, as in the 1950's. In addition, recent administrations betray our country and work openly with the U.N. towards a one-world government. However, if I can judge by some of the fund-raising letters which I get, some of our allegedly conservative politicians are beginning to become aware of the purpose, nature and scope of the continuing "fifth column" attack.

Now I will get to the purpose of this letter. When I turned 81, I decided to retire from my activities as a writer and publicist. I went through the thousands of articles and letters which I had written and, at my own expense of thousands of dollars, published a collection of those which seemed to be most relevant. One of the copies of this collection, entitled Wake Up, America! was sent in 1997 to you. I never received the courtesy of a reply — not even a form letter. If you are not interested in what I sent you, I ask that you return it to me so that I may pass it on to someone who will pay more attention.
