The Bitter Words of
Truth (September 1980)
[Sent to several U.S. legislators, military commanders,
organizations, and news media personnel]
To whom it may concern:
First of all, some words in general about the past and about myself.
Since 1939 I was connected with, or a member of, the Polish Underground Army [I/383 Intelligence] fighting the Germans and also America's good friends, the Russians (murderers of 14,000 Polish officers in the Katyn Forest, their hands wire-bound in their backs, and shot in the back of their heads). In 1944, after the Warsaw insurrection (during which Mr. Churchill sent cable after cable to the "great" American president Roosevelt asking for help and weapons for the fighting Polish soldiers, and Mr. Roosevelt betraying them and committing treason to the Atlantic Charter by refusing help) I became a prisoner of war....
In 1945, in the Polish forests, there were still over 200,000 Polish underground soldiers waiting for General Patton, but, but...!!!
After the first World War many mistakes were made against the theories of geopolitics as described, for instance, in H.J. MacKinder's book Democratic Ideals and Reality. In that book he wrote that the existence of a strong Poland is very important, not so much for Poland itself, but for the whole Free World, to avoid Hell on Earth. (I do not think you read that book, but I can assure you that the ideas are very educational.) After World War II, Mr. Roosevelt was for sure a great helper in speeding up the creation of Hell on this Earth, when he and then his successors and other officials were repeating (in larger proportions) the mistakes made after World War I, by bargaining with the Katyn murderers to accomplish the bloody act of selling Poland, Czechoslovakia, the Baltic and Balkan States, etc., into Russian slavery. (The Russian danger today to us and the Free World confirms the truth of Mr. MacKinder's and my opinion.) Did the American Congress and Senate protest or approve? Did the American people protest or approve (through lack of information and/or interest)? At that time, some idiots with doctor degrees from American universities even declared that there is a great similarity between the American and Russian constitution! Every child in Poland knew what and who the Russians are, but no American president, no American Congress, and no American Senate had (and still has only a pitiful few) people knowledgeable enough to know what the Polish children know.
After World War II, having the Atom bomb, America had the chance for Pax Americana all over the world, but America did not have the guts! Today, believe it or not, the question is only: Will America survive?
In 1952 I came to the U.S.A. Seeing the situation here I realized that the Russians had started preparation for World War III after the capitulation of Germany by laying the ground-work for the so-called Fifth Column (which means to weaken America first from the inside). I think it was in 1953 that I went to the FBI. After mentioning what I wanted to talk about, a major from American Intelligence, then working for the FBI, allowed me to speak about Russia and Russian methods for about one hour. Then he said: Mr. Bakierowski, please go into politics and scream about this; we know all these facts, but if we send a report on this subject to the Senators or Congressmen, they just put it in the waste-paper basket because it is not 'popular' with their voters! I told him that I would not go into politics, but that I would scream. And for 27 years I have been screaming about the Russian danger. What about you in all those years? Did you worry about the future as I worried? I was writing, and speaking, and spending money, and how looked your responsibility and public service in this respect? In the face of the terrifying build-up in Russia, the American presidents, senators, and congressmen committed acts which can only be described as treason: abolishing the draft, cutting down the CIA (Sen. Church and Congressman Pike), cutting the appropriations for the Navy and Air Force and missiles, and increasing the welfare for the not-wanting-to-work punks (American farmers from California or Florida complained that American workers refuse to pick fruit for $50.00 daily), or pinky Sen. McGovern who did commit (unpunished) treason when America was fighting in Vietnam (he promised the North Vietnamese that, if he was elected President, he would make peace), supporting today's "good" president Jimmy Carter, about whom I have the still-unanswered question if he is a traitor, or a mental case, or just plain stupid; congratulations, America, for choosing such a man to be President!!!
And now different subjects: Between other matters, the American Constitution clearly defines the existence of three powers in Government, and also declares Freedom of the Press.
One of the specified powers is the Court. According to the oldest understanding (thousands of years before Christ, like Hammurabi, Roman Law, and others) the Court was created for only one purpose: to pursue justice, because a country without law and justice is like a house without foundation. I wonder how you can justify the facts of criminals being freed because of technicalities? There is no common sense in that. Facts like that lower the respect for the law and I call them "miscarriages" of the true functions of the court. As consequence of our criminal law we have in America well-known facts like: someone committed over 20 murders at various times while on "vacation" (otherwise known as parole); or the case of the "vacationing" delinquent who came to court for trial on a previous murder charge, having already another body in the trunk of his car which he parked in front of the court building. Common sense dictates that such animals should be eliminated from society, but the wise guys in the Supreme Court discovered that the death penalty is "unconstitutional." If that is so, why did the creators of the Constitution not raise their voice against it? And at the same time when we are so humane to let the beasts running around and killing people in our streets and in their homes (instead of putting them on the electric chair) we are selling millions of people with the highest cultures and the oldest universities into slavery. Apparently the American Constitution allows that because almost nobody raises a voice in protest!
In the same Constitution is the guaranteed Freedom of the Press. At the time the Constitution was written, the morality of the press was just a little bit higher than it is today. Through the years the press (and other news media at that time unknown) has, as a matter of fact, grown to be a Fourth Power, for which there is no provision in the Constitution. Are they using their power for the good of America? Or are they using it against America with their editorials against the draft registration or when, following the recent (draft) registration law, 93% of the young American men registered, they kept very quiet about this fact, but how many times since then have I seen on TV the pictures and lengthy reports of the lousy 7% demonstrating against registration; they really make headlines or with their exposing our intelligence agent in Greece (he was executed) or with their "service" of reporting only part of the truth, conveniently forgetting the relativity [sic] of such truth? And who of our elected officials tries to bring this subject (of the news media) out into the open? None, because they are scared of what the media will do to them, and this being scared is the best proof that I am right. If there is any doubt in your mind on the subject of the news media, I refer you to Mr. Reed Irvine, Editor of the AIM Report who, I am sure, will be glad to serve you with facts.
The greatest powers of the world fell down not from outside pressure, but from cancer inside.
Many (or most) of you know Poland only from Polish jokes, but you do not know that Poland has one of the oldest universities in the world, that Poland is the country of Copernicus, Chopin, Curie-Sklodowska, that Poland once was more powerful than America, stretching from the Baltic to the Black Sea. But... two hundred years ago, before Poland was erased from the map of Europe, a Jesuit priest P. Skarga turned up, and some of his preachings sounded like this: "When the ship is sinking, the stupid and egotistic passengers, instead of working together to save the ship, each run and secure their personal belongings, not understanding that, when the ship goes down, they go down, too." America today is a sinking ship and the Americans, not realizing it, are securing for another minute their pay increases, retirement benefits, coffee breaks, and other privileges, and who in the Senate or Congress has the courage to talk about that? Instead, they keep very busy solving problems like "should a 'gay' be allowed to be a teacher" (fie!), "should prayer in school be permitted," or the Supreme Court is trying to decide if a murderer should go free because of a technicality, or.... You know, all that just leaves a bad taste.
And now some other facts: From April [1980] to this date [September 1980] I received almost 600 letters asking for contributions for many different and most admirable purposes, like fighting against SALT, against re-election of pink senators or congressmen, like fighting for prayer in schools, and for educating our elected officials and the public about the might Russia is representing and the mortal danger in which America is. I am asking, how did we get into this situation? Who is responsible? Who created these laws? Who cut the military budget? Who created the American welfare state? Who brought America to the brink of catastrophe? Now you wake up and ask for my contribution to save America. As mentioned above, I received almost 600 letters. If I would send only $1.00 each, that would be almost $600.00. What would the one dollar be used for? To fight the cause? No, probably it would only cover the cost of the correspondence.
I received letters from generals and admirals, one talking about the needs of the army, the other of missiles, or navy or air force. For me, all that [is] defense. Why can these officers not get together and combine their efforts under one organization? It would reduce expenses (salaries, postage, etc.) and, if I would send ten or twenty dollars, that contribution could then really be put to good use. And why do senators and congressmen, who are in favor of increased military spending, not join the generals and admirals instead of each one spending time, money, and efforts for separate action? I am afraid that, after all the administration costs are deducted, there is not much money left for the purpose it was sent for.
I am a member of the Republican Party and have supported the party for many years according to my possibilities. But now, analyzing the situation, I realize that my support of the Republican Party as such also supported Republican senators and congressmen who should really be called traitors (according to ACU ratings, Percy with 10 points, Chafee with 15 points, Javits with 9 points, Mathias with 12 points, and many others; or Senator Baker who was in favor of the Panama Canal give-away). I must admit that I would have preferred to give the entire amount of my contributions to a Democrat such as Rep. McDonald from Georgia with a 100 ACU rating, instead of wasting it on the above-named or the current "flower" of the Republican Party, namely, Mr. Anderson, whose emergence from our party had the effect of a bucket of cold water on me.
For years I was proud to be a member of organizations like the American Security Council, the Security and Intelligence Fund, the Accuracy in Media, and others. These organizations have fought for years for the good of America against Congress and Senate and presidents who, through their actions (cut defense, eliminate the draft, being buddy-buddy with "Uncle Joe" Stalin and tovarish with Brezhnev, etc.) led America into the present situation. For years, while you slept, I have fought and tried to wake you. You slept through the years when Russia (with the help of American computers and other technical data, and the grain we gave them) grew to its present might, when the Russian emissary Castro invited Russian troops to Cuba to bring revolutions to Africa and South America, when the crazy ayatollah, with the help of the American president, established himself in Iran and then spit in the American face, when America lost the trust of her allies because of our lack of spiritual values, unwillingness to fight and stinky politics. Do you realize that, compared to the Russian army of almost 5 million men, we have practically nothing, especially when you consider the state of readiness and value of our army (illiterates)? Did you hear or read the recent report of the Army's Chief of Staff on the readiness of our army? Do you know the value of our army in Europe with an abundance of dope users and a lack of fighting spirit? Do you know what you are doing? You are pushing our potential allies and friends into discussions with Russia because they can no longer count on America. Now you start to wake up. Is it not too late? How can you wake up 200 million Americans (whom you put to sleep) to serve their country?
One of the very first steps you must take immediately is to re-instate the military draft. Keep in mind that a draft does not mean immediate ready defense; it takes at least two to three years to make from a draftee a good soldier.
The re-institution of the military draft would meet a number of purposes:
Talking of the military draft makes me think of what happened in Poland in the 18th century, and what may serve you as a warning. The Polish Congress refused for years to appropriate money for defense and, consequently, Poland had to make one after the other compromise to Russia. Then the Polish Congress finally woke up and realized that, they ordered to appropriate money for draft and defense. But then it was too late! Russia reacted immediately and finished the existence of Poland.
The bitter truth now is: Please do not bother asking me for money. I did my obligation to this country without money. When I became an American citizen I started to fight a single-man battle trying to wake up Americans, I paid my dues, I wrote to newspapers and talked to thousands of people. You ask for money? If you think you can win over Russia with money, you are very wrong. Today, Russia can beat America and America's potential ally China. You have to choose between paying for America's freedom with your blood (like we Poles did) or life in slavery.
You must realize one thing: America was built strong because of hard work and a lot of common sense. Sorry to say, America no longer represents those values.... Si vis pacem para bellum! You need bullets and the spirit to use them. Some American generals expressed the opinion that not the number of bullets wins a war, but the spirit and the will of the people. If you do not have that, be prepared to surrender (what you actually started doing, for instance through Mr. Kissinger, or Mr. Vance at SALT).
Even today, at 65, I would rather be dead than red (how about you?) and I can assure you that, when the hour comes to pay all historic obligations (for your convenient life, pay raises, the ridiculous laws you created to destroy our country, etc.) and to fight, I will be there. Will you be there?
Waclaw Bakierowski.
P.S. I will continue to support certain organizations and activities according to their merits and achievements, making sure that not one of my dollars will be used for stamps or administration, or for such "miscarriages" as Anderson and the likes of Percy.
P.P.S. A final bitter comment: When I received my American citizenship I was asked to swear to defend America. At that time I did not realize that it would involve defending America from American presidents, congressmen, and senators when they abolished the draft, when they gave away the American Panama Canal territory to communists, when they will sell the American mainland in the SALT arrangement.
If America does not wake up right now, America is condemned to die. General Douglas MacArthur, on the eve of the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, told a sleeping America:
The history of failure in war can be summed up in two words: TOO LATE. Too late in comprehending the deadly purpose of a potential enemy; too late in realizing the mortal danger; too late in preparedness; too late in uniting all possible forces for resistance; too late in standing with one's friends.
Major General John K. Singlaub, U.S. Army (Ret.) stated in a recent circular letter of the ACFA: "Either we are prepared to fight today or we shall perish from this earth."
