Another Point of View

PART I: Comments on
Leftism Revisited by Erik von Kühnelt-LeddihnIn today's America, God and the Ten Commandments have been all but liquidated. This has resulted in the subversion of morality, the destruction of the family, and the reduction of the educational system to a level where it is producing graduates who are mostly functional illiterates. The Constitution and the ideal of American independence have been forgotten or rejected. Policy is made by cynical ignoramuses who know nothing about geography, history, or the psychology of nations. After the giveaways of the Panama Canal and of Wrangel Island, our "leaders" have gone on to newer and much graver treasons. The military budget has been reduced by 40% and the armed forces are increasingly committed to U.N. control.
And what is behind all this? The evil idea at the root of it all is the vision of a godless and totalitarian one-world government. This is the vision of the CFR, the Trilaterals, the Bilderbergs, the international banks, and the big multinational corporations. Since before the Bolshevik Revolution, these groups have been supporting their Communist brothers and fellow murderers. Having rejected a Pax Americana, the "American Establishment" will instead, in its cynical folly, give us a Pax Sovietica. And that will be hell on earth!
On 8 May, Mr. Clinton flew to Russia to continue the Establishment's tradition of shaking the hands of murderers (this time, the butchers of Chechnya), to discuss the nuclear problem in Iran, and perhaps to coordinate plans for that one-world government. Although the slogan is now out of fashion, we can assume that it was all done in the name of the "New World Order." Just wait, however, until the liberals of the American Establishment find out that the New World Order which Russia plans to install by force is not quite what they have in mind!
As I read the accounts of the Clinton-Yeltsin meeting, I wonder whether Poland was part of the price which Clinton agreed to pay for Yeltsin's worthless promises.
May I suggest that you read James Burnham's Suicide of the West? Written a generation ago, the book showed that liberalism is the ideology of Western suicide. May I suggest also that you read Erik von Kühnelt-Leddihn's Leftism Revisited? As the author shows, the liberalism of today is evil, springing from the evil roots of the French Revolution and bearing the evil fruits which are ripening today as we enter that infamous "New World Order."
America and the entire world are on the brink of catastrophe. Mene Tekel Peres. [Webmaster's note: understand as "the handwriting is on the wall," cf. Daniel ch. V.] That catastrophe will be God's punishment on us for our sins.
PART II: "V.E." Day — and the Shameful Betrayal of Poland
The whole world has just completed celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of Victory in Europe. Everyone seemed to be glorifying the demise of Nazism and Fascism, while Clinton flew to Moscow to give special attention to our Russian "ally." Only a handful of men with both a sense of honor and a sense of history had anything to say about Communism's role in bringing on the war and about Poland's role in winning it. Still fewer had anything to say about the American and British betrayal of their Polish ally.
Before the start of the war, England and France had signed an agreement with Poland, promising immediate help in the event of German attack. Then, when war was clearly imminent, England and France asked Poland to delay mobilization. And, when the war had already started, the same England and the same France sat on their hands while Poland fought alone against Germany — and against Russia. By the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, the same Russia which is now so flattered by Mr. Clinton had gone into the war on the German side, like a jackal seeking scraps from a wolf.
The German occupation cost Poland the lives of over six million of its citizens. Under the Russian occupation, more millions of Poles were deported to death in the Gulag, while 14,000 Polish prisoners of war were murdered in the Katyn Forest and additional tens of thousands simply "disappeared." Mr. Clinton, while he was in Moscow, does not seem to have bothered to ask Mr. Yeltsin to open up the NKVD archives on the subject....

Despite the occupation, Poland continued to fight. Even before the war, Poland had broken the German "Enigma" codes and had supplied the data to the English. This was the foundation of "Ultra," which saved tens or hundreds of thousands of English and American lives and which shortened the war by months or perhaps even years. Later, the Polish Underground smuggled actual component parts of Germany's "V" rockets to the West, together with information about the location of Germany's manufacturing facilities for these rockets to be bombed and destroyed. Finally, of course, there was the Warsaw Insurrection, in which Poles armed with small arms and grenades fought an unequal struggle against German tanks and artillery — while the Russians, whom Mr. Clinton now praises so fulsomely, waited passively on the other side of the Vistula River until the Germans had done their dirty work.
In the meantime, tens of thousands of Polish soldiers who had escaped the defeat in 1939 shed their blood on every front: in France in 1940, at Dunkirk, and during the Battle of Britain, when Polish pilots were among those whom Churchill honored: "never in history did so many owe so much to so few." Polish naval units helped to escort the convoys to Murmansk. The Polish army was at Tobruk, and at the invasion of Italy, and at Monte Cassino, where the graves of some two and a half thousand Polish soldiers mean that there is a piece of Italy which is now "forever Poland." The Polish army was at Normandy, at the "Bridge Too Far" at Arnhem, and at the final German surrender.
The many Poles who were stranded in Russia when Germany violated the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and who were not able to get to the West formed another Polish army. They participated in the final attack on Berlin and raised the Polish flag over the Brandenburg Tor.
And so, Germany was defeated and there was a victory parade in London. The Poles did not march in the parade.... Poland had contributed approximately 300,000 military lives and millions of civilian lives to the victory. When it came time for the parade, however, the Poles were not invited....
After all, the same Stalin who had sent Molotov to sign the Pact with Ribbentrop might have been offended. In the Atlantic Charter, Roosevelt and Churchill had promised that Poland would be "reinstated in the pre-war territory." At Yalta, however, the same Roosevelt and the same Churchill surrendered Central Europe, including Poland, into the Russian sphere and allowed Russia actually to annex almost half of Poland's pre-war territory. In so doing, Roosevelt and Churchill became accomplices after the fact to the Katyn Forest massacre — and accomplices, even before the fact, to the deportations, tortures, and mass murders by which Communist rule was inflicted on post-war Poland. Perhaps Mr. Roosevelt and Mr. Churchill thought that a man would somehow be less dead if he were shot by an NKVD "Nagan" than if he were shot by a Gestapo "Parabellum"? And perhaps Mr. Clinton and Mr. Major still think so?
Fifty years have elapsed since the victory parade to which the Poles were not invited. The United States, England, France, Russia, and even Germany sent representatives to the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of VE-Day. But not Poland; the Poles, once again, are not invited....
Some years after the war, General de Gaulle was flying to Moscow. Warsaw was still mostly in ruins. As his plane passed over the city, he threw a bouquet of flowers onto the ruins. Unlike such decadent "aristocrats" as Churchill and Roosevelt, Charles de Gaulle was an honorable gentleman....
PART III: "V.E." Day — and the Victors of the West as Accomplices of the Communist Murderers of Russian Prisoners of War and Refugees
As everyone, on the fiftieth anniversary of "VE-Day," [rejoiced] in the defeat of the evil of Nazism, I could not help remembering some of the evils done by Russia, England, and America.
Even before World War II had begun, a group of the top German generals wanted to get rid of Hitler. During the crisis over Czechoslovakia in 1938, they appealed to Britain to stand firm against Hitler in order to give them an opportunity to depose the dictator. Of course, Chamberlain caved in to Hitler at Munich. After the war began, the same generals expressed their willingness to surrender to the West, on the one condition that they be allowed to finish off Communism in Russia. Once again, the West sided with a bloody dictator, this time with Stalin.
When the Germans discovered the mass graves of 14,000 Polish officers (prisoners of war) in the Katyn Forest, the Russians were quick to accuse the Germans of this atrocity. General Sikorski asked the Red Cross to investigate. Offended by this Polish request for an international investigation, Stalin withdrew recognition from the Polish Government in Exile and created a Polish puppet government, later known as the "Lublin Government." The results of impartial international investigations showing that the Russians had perpetrated the Katyn Forest massacre were known to Franklin D. Roosevelt, who chose instead to pretend to believe the results of the "research" done by the Russians themselves and by Mr. Harriman and his daughter. This pretense provided cover for the American and British decisions to withdraw recognition from the Polish Government in Exile and to recognize Stalin's bastard, the Lublin gang.
There were not many Americans who emerged with honor from this disgraceful episode. One of them is General Walter Beddell Smith, Eisenhower's chief of staff, who happened to be in Moscow when Stalin's puppets arranged an official reception. A letter I later received from a witness describes what happened:
At the time we were there, of course, the Communist government had been installed in Poland by Soviet invaders, and neither the General nor I had anything with them except to be distantly polite. All of a sudden one day, we both received an invitation to attend the Lublin government's national day at the Metropol Hotel in Moscow. After discussing it, he decided to show up at the reception in full uniform wearing only one medal — the Polonia Restituta — granted to him by the Polish Government in Exile. We walked into the large ballroom, formally shook hands with the Ambassador and two or three of his staff in the receiving line, walked briskly around and out the door. By the time we got back to the door all the "Lublin" Poles were wagging their tongues and looking at General Smith's decoration. It really astounded them because they, of course, realized that the medal had been granted not by their Moscow-sponsored Marxist government but by the real Polish government. The other diplomats attending the reception were amused at the bewilderment of the Lublin gang.
Another American to preserve his personal honor in the midst of his country's dishonor was Arthur Bliss Lane, appointed in 1944 to be the American ambassador to Poland. In 1947 he threw away his career and resigned in order to write his book, I Saw Poland Betrayed.
Poland, of course, was not alone in being betrayed. Michajlowich and his anti-Communist partisans in Yugoslavia were betrayed to Stalin and Tito. (When a British official protested, all he got back from Churchill was a single sneering question: "Do you plan to make your home in Yugoslavia after the war?") The sellout of Michajlowich was a rehearsal, as history has shown, for the betrayals of Chiang Kai-Shek, and of the people of South Vietnam, and of the Shah of Iran....
Still, the single worst act of American and British betrayal came after the war had ended. When Germany first had invaded Russia, tens of thousands of Russians went over to the German side in the hope of joining the fight against Communism. An entire Russian army was eventually organized in Germany. After Germany's surrender, Stalin asked for the repatriation of these men and also of the thousands of Russian civilians who had found themselves in areas now occupied by the Americans and the English. General Eisenhower, Secretary of State Byrnes, Churchill, Eden, and Bevin decided not only to comply with this request, but to toss in thousands of Russian emigres who had not been in Russia since the end of the Bolshevik Revolution! Like SS men packing Jews in rail cars for shipment to the extermination camps, American and English soldiers used bullets and bayonets to pack thousands of Russian, Ukranian, Cossack, and Chechen men, women, and children into railroad cars. [Webmaster's note: This infamy had the official codename "Operation Keelhaul."] Train after train carried these people to Russia to be executed — close to one hundred thousand soldiers and hundreds of thousands of civilians, women, and children. All told, over a million people were murdered in cold blood with the active connivance and participation of American and English "statesmen" and of the American and English armies. The only protests came from Lord Selborne and, when he eventually heard about all this, from Pope Pius XII.
Stupidity piled on top of folly and crime piled on top of previous crime first brought on the war whose end we recently celebrated with so much self-satisfaction and then handed those who had suffered the most at Hitler's hands to suffer yet more at Russian hands, with consequences whose end is not yet in sight. While we kid ourselves that the Cold War is over, Russia is preparing its comeback. Peter the Great's dream of Russian world domination has not been forgotten — nor have Lenin's and Stalin's dreams of a "one world" run from Moscow. Maybe the CFR and the Trilaterals and the Bilderbergers think that Russia can be manipulated into being part of their plans for a one-world government built on the ruins of our Western Christian civilization. They will find out in due course that Russia has no interest in a one-world which is run from Washington, from London, and from Wall Street. "Whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad...."
Although the final falling-out between the Western one-worlders and the Moscow one-worlders is still in the future, their shared goal of the destruction of Western Christian civilization has been all but attained. That will not go unpunished by a God Who is as just as He is merciful. More likely than not, Russia is the appointed executioner of the West's punishment.
