Smoke and Mirrors in a Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) troupe that meets in Evanston, IL two Saturdays a month (second and fourth). Currently, we have about thirty five players (average turnout 17-20), two StoryTellers and three Narrators but, we are always looking to recruit more. Most of the members have been LARPing for around eight to ten years, though some have for longer and some shorter.

LARP is very similar to improvisational theatre in many respects. In fact, the only ways that it differs are that it is a game and that most (but not always all) of the audience also happens to be the actors (or, players, as they are called). However, each player takes on the role of their character and acts as if they were that character for the duration of the game.

More details can be found on our New Players page.
