Cabinets
I do not have the wood working tools to do this
work.
So a good friend and collogue offered to make the interior cabinets.
Knowing his work I did not hesitate to take him up on the offer.
We worked together on the design, I knew what I needed for the initial layout, he had a ton of great ideas and suggestions.
The frames are made of poplar and the face
fronts are maple.
The Draws are an RV type that lock closed and require a bit of effort to
initially open them. THe Doors are self closing.
Here are a few pics of early on in the construction
It seemed like no time at all the finished product was ready to be picked up.
You may notice the louvered panel on the left of the longer counter. the furnace will be behind there. It is constructed to be easily disassembled for access.
Looks pretty good with the ole Dixie there.
Looks like we had better step up the interior wall installation so the new cabinets have a permanent home!
Place the Curb side cabinet in place today!
First the hole for the intake/exhaust.
Drilled two pilot holes from the inside to locate the area.
From the outside, used an air grinder with a cut off wheel to make the cut.
Alignment is critical. Fit like is was designed for it!, (it was)
