Let me tell you about my new hobby. You may or may not have checked out my reading list. I've made the difficult decision to release some of them into the wild through BookCrossing.com. My hope is that whoever finds my books will enjoy them as much as I did.
BookCrossing.com provides readers with a way to register the books they read, then to release the books "into the wild" for others to find and read. When someone finds and reads your book they go to Bookcrossing.com and post a journal entry so you know your book is on its way.
See the books I've set free. Free to request any unreleased books you want to read.
There are many places to find inexpensive books. Used book stores will have a good selection of popular genres, but may not have anything in special fields of interest. Libraries often sell books, especially if they carry extra copies of bestsellers. The bargain shelves or bins at your favorite bookstore contain treasures that didn't sell only because they didn't have mass appeal.
So far I've left books in the dentist's office, in the waiting room at a tire store, in the mall, and at various locations in the Health and Wellness Center. I've also mailed a few out.
