So Who Is The Addict?
Who, me? The name's TJ. Depending on the forum you might also know me as OmegaOne or Omegus Prime. I'm pretty ordinary, really, aside from the collection of 800+ Transformers in my bedroom. I'm a big fan of video games and oddball TV shows like Red Dwarf, MST3K, and Scrubs. When I'm not being funny on YouTube I do a lot of writing and I've got several podcasts I host all over the place.

So Why Plastic Addict?
What, you think I bought all these awful toys intentionally? Only someone hopelessly addicted would know what they were getting into and still buy toys like Armada Hot Shot and Titanium Optimal. Fact is I'm like a lot of collectors, if I go out for a new figure and I'm determined to come back with something, odds are I'll pick up whatever's there, the difference being I found a way of having fun with them and entertain all of you at the same time.

What Do You Make Your Videos With?
It's almost embarassing how low budget my production is right now though I am always trying to improve on it. At the moment I'm using a $40 webcam, a $20 headset, two reading lamps, some large sheets of watercolor paper, and then there's the "white space" backdrop. To edit them together, it's just Windows Movie Maker that came with my system. That's pretty much all I have that's just for recording the videos, so it doesn't take a whole lot to create a quality product, just some inspiration and personality.

Plastic Addict Mission Statement
Well to be honest, I'm just trying to entertain fellow Transformer fans. But you want to know why I pick on bad toys? So Hasbro knows we pay attention. You look at Cybertron, the fantastic figures like Hot Shot, Starscream, Red Alert, Vector Prime, Evac, Optimus Prime, Crosswise, Sideways, Landmine... AND THEY THROW BACKSTOP INTO IT?! No excuse for such an awful toy to come from the same line of all star molds! This is so they know we don't forget those toys and there is no reason for engineering to be so good everywhere else then come up that short.

Rushed Review Mission Statement
Okay, let me get this out of the way first. To the right you'll see links for other reviewers, Optibotimus, Sean Long, peaugh, they're great at what they do and they provide a great service to the fandom by often giving us the first looks at how a new toy functions. That said... I'm among those that can't stand a 10-20 minute review that's nothing but the same monotone voice talking about a toy while I watch them play with it, describing details I can plainly see in the video, or not editing out mistakes or interuptions. It doesn't need to be so long, so Rushed Review parodies that by cutting out everything that's not necessary, paint and color descriptions, showing the full range of articulation for each joint, and giving just the details you need to know before buying. Basically it's something to watch before a trip to Walmart or Toys R Us, even if someone's taking you and didn't give you warning, you've got the time to watch one of these and see if a toy they might have is right for you.

...and the rhyming?
I do it for you! ...seriously! Helps the review hold together, if I was just spouting words at full speed it'd be hard to follow, the rhyme pattern keeps it easy to follow.
