Antigone discussion                                                                

1. Hubris is excessive pride.  A tragic flaw is a flaw in a character in a tragedy that brings that character to ruin.  Does anyone in this play have hubris or some other tragic flaw?

2. Who is Teirisias?  What does he add to the play?

3. How many people are dead at the end of the play?  How do they die?

4. List misjudgments and mistakes made in the play.

5. As time allows, pick quotations that might work well as items in the drama exam.  Make these as obvious as you can.
