Kossok's Shadow Dancer

November 24, 1994 to April 10, 2007

We called her "Bright Eyes" because of those sparkling dark brown eyes.

We picked her out of a litter of adorable puppies because she was so affectionate and so feisty. She just lit up a room and our hearts with that big personality. She was eager for every experience and she carried that "joie de vivre" throughout her life until the day when we knew we had to let her go.

There are so many memories that will return over the coming days, weeks, months and years but the most vivid are of her bright, shining little face at the top of the stairs when we returned home waiting to give us kisses or when she waited at attention for a bit of food from the dinner table.

Her shrieks of excitement when we picked up the leashes for a walk or got out the dinner bowls were legendary.

The house is so silent now.

She is at that special place now, north of the Rainbow Bridge where Siberian Huskies wait for their loved ones. She is with her Auntie Mellie and Tasha, Magnum and Mishka and Sashka. She is free of pain and strife.

Run, run like the wind, taste the morning dew, nap in the midday sun, play husky games with abandon. We will meet again and your bright, eager little face will welcome us.

Until then, Godspeed little one. Wear your silver harness with pride.
