 I'm Shadow Dancer
— When I feel like it I will come to either name. I was the youngest (with all the
perks that go with that!) until that other dog came. A very dark day in my life I can tell
you (sigh). I came to live with Tasha and Melody when I was 7 weeks old. It was just great
to have two dogs to jump on! Melody kind of became my surrogate Mom and Tasha was my
playmate.
The female alpha took me to puppy
kindergarten which was way fun and I became her devoted disciple. I loved to lie at her
feet and I would always greet her with lots of kisses.
But then — betrayal! One day she came
home with that gray giant and was all kissy face with it and it stuck to her leg like
glue. I can tell you it broke my heart. After that, just to punish her, I sucked up to the
male Alpha and now we are best pals. That will show her!! Still, I’d really like to
be #1 with my Alpha female again. I am very skilled at giving her reproachful looks.
Lately I've decided to forgive her -- just a little bit because, after all, a dog has her
pride. I've consented to sleep next to her at night. I hope she appreciates this!! I think
its very generous of me.
In case the music wasn't enough of a hint,
I was "born to be wild!" Sometimes the management calls me the
"Tasmanian Devil."
