SNOW DOGS

The Disney movie "Snow Dogs" premiers January 18th and from previews it looks to be a delightful and entertaining movie. However, it also means danger for our wonderful breed and the likelihood that later in the year rescue organizations all over the country will be flooded with unwanted Siberians. Siberian organizations all countrywide are gearing up to educate movie goers on the Siberian Husky in hopes of stemming the tide of demand for these beautiful dogs and encouraging those who still want a Siberian after educating themselves about the breed to consider adopting rescue dogs . Mindful of what happened with 101 Dalmations, Beethoven and other movies featuring a particular breed, Siberian owners are very concerned about a movie featuring Siberians. Already ads are beginning to appear in newspapers around the country placed by unscrupulous and opportunistic breeders for "snow dog" puppies.

Save Our Siberians - Siberspace Rescue Fund is providing these flyers to be copied and printed for anyone who would like to help. Suggested uses: post them in vet offices, public bulletin boards, hand them out at theaters showing the movie "Snow Dogs." Use them anyway you can think of to help educate the public about the Siberian Husky breed.
