Women and children in the south struggled to survive and maintain their lifestyles amid Yankee invasions and shortages of supplies due to the naval blockades. The civilians in our unit are a crucial role to the living history experience. They demonstrate the hardships suffered by southern families and provide a glimpse of living in our war-torn country during 1863. |
