THE WINDSOME WOOD CHAMBER PLAYERS

The Program

The WINDSOME WOOD CHAMBER PLAYERS feature a wide variety of professional solo and small ensemble performances. The concert repertoire is committed to both entertaining and educating audiences about the joys of chamber music. Musical selections are both musically complex and listener-friendly. The history, development, and literature of the individual instruments are discussed. Each member performs appropriate solo selections to illustrate the unique qualities of the instrumental and vocal topic under discussion. Recital programs can be custom designed to appeal to the interests and needs of audiences of any age, culture, and/or musical specialties. This lecture-recital format has proved to be popular and successful for any audience eager to listen and learn more about the music they have always enjoyed. The performers will welcome all questions at the end of the performance and will stay as long as necessary to make certain that everyone's interest and curiosity are satisfied.

Additionally, we provide the highest quality music for special secular or sacred occasions. These important and transitional events in a small or large family system can be made even more significant with tasteful and inspirational musical support. In the Listening Rooms you can sample some of the sacred music that has been greatly appreciated by family members for weddings, reaffirmation of vows, baptisms, confirmations, religious feast days, and memorial and funeral services. Our repertoire is large and we have over three decades of experience in working with families to select sensitive and appropriate music for their commemorative and celebratory occasions.
