Four hoosier anglers will be headed to the BassFan Weekend Warrior Championship at Pickwick Lake and try to duplicate what a fellow Hoosier has already done. Become the best Weekend Warrior on the planet.

Marty Sisk of Evansville won the inaugural event in 2006 and claimed the top prize of twenty thousand dollars. The BassFan Army Weekend Warrior Championship (WWC) will be held April 3-5, 2008 at Alabama's Lake Pickwick.

With the pressure on, Kelly Hook and Brad Moser, both of New Albany,  held on to win Hoosier Open’s team bass fishing season point championship at Monroe this past Sunday.  They will be honored at the classic banquet with champion jackets, Ranger & Mercury certificates, championship rings, Solar Bat sunglasses and a free entry to season opener next year.

Only six-bass limit during both days of competition

Dale Fess of Greenville and Paul Jones of Jeffersonville won Hoosier Open’s team bass fishing “classic” fish-off at Patoka Lake this past weekend.  For October, the weather was extremely hot and so was the long-time fishing duo who weighed the only six-bass limit during both days of competition.  During the organization’s 12 year history,

Fess and Jones have teamed to win “Anglers Of The Year” twice, three qualifying tournaments, and now “Classic Champions”.  They now have the honor of being the only team to accomplish all three titles.
