Hot Springs Ark. The first day of the 2008 BFL All-American is now in the books. And with one of the three Hoosier anglers in the top five. Carver had five that went eleven pounds six ounces.
McWilliams Sacks 9-14 Sets in Third !
Only 1-9 back from All-American Lead
McWilliams said he started his day by catching his biggest fish. I pulled up on a point and threw a buzzbait off to the side of it and caught a two and a half pounder. Then I went to my best spot a (place he had found in practice) and immediately caught another. The rest of the day found him fishing docks to fill out his limit. I probably caught ten keepers total today which were no help after I caught my limit, He said. Today we had cloudy skies which hurt the dock bite a little bit. Tommorrow they are calling for clear skies and the dock fishing should be a lot better. I will probably stick with what is working for me so far which is a buzzbait and the "Stupid tube" and maybe a Pop "R" McWilliams said.
FLW Outdoors is known for taking care of its anglers and this tournament is no exception. McWilliams said this is one "neat" deal they put us up in the best hotel and the food is pretty good too !
