Sandusky, Ohio. Lake Erie. Terry Mcwilliams and Mike Seal have advanced to the TBF National Championship as The Indiana State Team was the overall winner at the TBF Northern Divisional on Lake Erie. Terry again relied on on his "Stupid Tube' to land thirteen largemouth/smallmouth for a total of 34 pounds 4 ounces to finish second overall in the three day tournament. .
Mike Seal, sixth place overall, will advance as a co-angler after weighing 8 bass totaling 26 pounds 12 ounces. The TBF National Championship site will soon be announced for 2008 where the winner will earn $100,000 and a trip to compete in the Forrest Wood Cup with a top prize of $1,000,000

Sept.15, 2007
"The Stupid tube comes through again"  McWilliams said, referring to the bait that took him to the Bassmasters Classic earlier this year. And propelling him to a fourth place finish. "This has been a goal of mine to make the TBF Championship and qualify for Forrest Wood Cup for the last two years". As long as my"Stupid Tube" doesn't let me down.

The first day of the tournament the competitors were limited to the harbor area due to a wind advisory. McWilliams caught four bass that weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces. On the second day he headed to the other side of Marblehead where he caught four bass that weighed 10 pounds 5 ounces and on the third day he brought in five bass that sealed the deal weighing 15 pounds 4 ounces.

I was fishing a steel break wall and wing dams with the Stupid Tube,” he said. “I caught a 5 -2 smallmouth on the Stupid Tube, and about 20 minutes later, I caught another keeper largemouth.” McWilliams ended up with the Big Bass on the final day.

The win gave McWilliams a $500 dollar gift card from Walmart and a $500 bonus from Ranger Boats as the highest-finishing participant in the Ranger Cup incentive program. McWilliams also won Big Bass money for his catch on the final day. And for the State team winning 1st place overall.  The team won $10,000 dollars of which $2500 will go to the Indiana Bass Federation.
