| Individual Top Times by Stroke-Distance with Relays now seperated updated post Districts 06/09/2008 Now I've done it. Here are some pictures from photobucket. I am not sure how this is going to work, let me know how you guys like it. :) So far, I hate having to upload only a few files at a time, I would like to upload much more than just one and then batch when I've selected 20. Anyway, I would rather another option. But for now, enjoy! State results soon, via Hy-Tek. But for now, just the report. In Preliminaries, the girls busted out all stops. They qualified 5th for finals in the 200 Medley Relay and consoles in the 200 Free Relay. Nikki Qualified in finals in her 2 individual events, Kate qualified for the finals in the backstroke and consolations in the 500 Free, Lauren made consoles in her 50 and Kiah made consoles in her 100 Breaststroke (new school record!), not bad for wild cards. Everyone who made it into State moved on to day 2! Day 2 came and The Medley Relay finished 6th overall at State and 11th in the 200 Free Relay. Diva... I mean, Nikki tied for 7th in her 100 Freestyle and was 3rd in the 100 Backstroke with a new school record, Lauren was tied for 15th in her 50 Freestyle, Kate had the 7th fastest time in the state in the 500, but finished 9th overall and finished 6th in the 100 Backstroke, and Kiah finished 16th in the 100 Breaststroke. The 200 Free Relay was an improved time and finish as well. Overall, Hudson's Bay was 9th out of 33 participating schools beating a local rival, Columbia River. A great weekend all around and obvious hopes for the future with such a young team! I am considering subscribing to photo bucket to post all the pictures, so if I do that and things get up and running, I will put a link to it on here. Hudson's Bay was 3rd behind Camas and River. Qualified 2 relays to state and 4 individual events including Kiah in the 100 Breaststroke; Lauren in the 50 Free; Kate in the 500 Free and 100 Backstroke; Nikki in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke. Things look good for the 200 Medley Relay at state as we are seeded 6th! Also, Nikki and Kate are seeded 3rd and 4th in the Backstroke. Good luck to us all! Districts was awesome! Sorry things haven't been updated in a bit. I think comcast has got it right, finally. Results for Sub-Districts good job to Trella as she was the only one who qualified for Districts as a result of placing in the top 3 at Subs. Take a look and pat her on the back, she dropped some good time and against good competition. I hope to get pictures from the meet soon because it was actually funny each time she swam with goggles around her nose. Good job at the meet against Fort Vancouver. Hudson's Bay won every event and won 121-44. Our dual meet season finishes with a 12-2 record. Unfortunately, the only 2 teams that beat us are in our District Championships on Nov 2nd and 3rd. Congratulations also to our graduating Seniors: Kiah Nelsen, Chelsea Schouweiler, Erika Christiansen, Lauren McCammon and Karen Morales. We will be missing you sorely next year, but you are invited to come to the Alumni Meet every year! Hope to see you then, it is always on Dec. 26th unless it happens to be a Saturday or Sunday, then it will be on the following Monday. All are welcome! Anyway, a great meet at SWW Invitational! 2nd place just behind Camas. I don't know the scores completely, but it was a good meet for Personal Records. Congratulations for all those improvements. Kelso was a win and if you want to add Toutle, our record is 11-2. SWW Invite on Saturday, which the bus will leave at 10AM from Hudson's Bay. Congrats to Kiah for breaking into the All-Time Top 10 in the 200 IM, Lauren for the 100 Fly and Nikki for the 500! 3 All-Time Top Swims this meet. With lots of wins too.... Congrats to all. SWW Invitational Entries are here. Take a look! BTW, Our win loss record is 9-2. Keep it up! As I look at the entries to SWW Invite, I can see about 15 teams there. This is the most like a Clark County Championships meet as it is going to get, except that Columbia River coach said they won't be going. So, other than that, it should be pretty good. I put together as many relays as possible at the cost of some individual events and I expect there will still be changes as we get up to Mark Morris on Saturday. Good Job against Mark Morris and RA Long. Results are in! Bay wins 96-66 over Mark Morris and 108 -35 over RA Long. Many wins! And some timely PR's. WE are looking good as a team and getting faster as we get closer to the big meets! Lis, Lauren, Nikki and Kate had a near school record experience to cap off a great meet. I am looking forward to a great taper and the next couple of meets! What a great meet against MV, Evergreen, Heritage and Union results). They were considerably closer than I thought they would be. However, it did come down to the last 3 events against Mt. View. We tied the meet after the 100 Breaststroke taking 1st and 2nd and I thought we had it won after that with the 400 Free Relay B team improving by 5 seconds. However, MV led the entire race in the relay by nearly 10 seconds at one point by swimming their fastest against Lis. The rest of the team... Kate, Lauren and Nikki ate away at the lead and Nikki got a surge of energy the last 25 meters and reeled their anchor and out-touched her by .2 seconds. What an intense and exciting meet! We walk away with a win over all 4 schools and improve our record to 7 wins and 2 losses. Results from Camas. The Bay team of Kate, Nikki, Lauren and Lis smashed the school record by about 2 seconds. They are less than 1 second from a state qualifying time. I expect it very soon. Great Job girls. I will update the rest of the web page after MV on Friday. I will have to update the times by hand because the computer isn't converting them and inputting the results as Yards. So I will have to play around with it later. Stevenson Results are here. We won every event! Next meet... We are against Camas at Camas. I will try and get Metric state qualifying times printed out. So we can see what it takes. Wow, our team is getting a lot of ink (Columbian)! We got athletes of the day again when we broke the 200 Medley School Record! It was in Saturday morning newspaper. Great Job!!!! Bay established a new school record swimming against CR last Friday. Kate Duvall, Kiah Nelsen, Nikki Cannon and Lis Tso eclipsed the previous time by about a second. In addition, Nikki Cannon has moved into a couple of Top 10 places in the events she has been swimming. The team of Lauren McCammon, Kate, Nikki and Lis took first in the 200 Free Relay. Among other first places in individual races were Kate in the 200 IM as well as the 500 Free and Nikki in the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke. Great Job girls!
If you looked in the newspaper today (September 11) you would see that Kate Duvall was recognized as one of the stars of the day as well as The 200 Free Relay team of Lis Tso, Lauren McCammon, Nikki Cannon, and Kiah Nelsen. Great Job!!! In my hurry to post everything, I forgot to make a link to it. Sorry.. Here are the meet results.. Skyview Results Last night the girls' lit it up in the water defeating Skyview 101 to 68. The surprise of the meet, Lis Tso, Lauren McCammon, Nikki Cannon and Kiah Nelsen broke a school record in the 200 Freestyle Relay by 31/100ths of a second. Bay also won the 200 Medley Relay with a team of Kate Duvall, Kiah, Lis, and Lauren. And the 400 Relay of Nikki, Erika Christiansen, Chelsea Schouweiler, and Kate. Bay also won 7 of the 8 remaining individual events including: Nikki in the 200 Free and 100 Backstroke; Kiah in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke; Lauren in the 50 Free; Kate in the 100 Fly and 500 Free. Kiah, you were .06 of a second from breaking into the All-Time Top 10 in the 200 IM! So close.... but it is the first meet of the season. More to come. :) Obviously a lot more to look forward to with this being only the first meet of the season. Lots of fun! Thanks for the cheering section fellas!
I was going to upload the entries for the meet to here, but have decided, because of a lack of secure web pages, that it makes it too available to other teams. So, we will have to wait and see what you are swimming on Monday. Sorry. Last night the girls' swim team started off with the meet with a win in the 400 Free Relay. The team of Breanna Atwell, Chelsea Schouweiler, Jody Hone, and Amanda Emmerson nudged out Mark Morris among a host of others for the win. Bay's team of Kate Duvall, Brooke Handley, Kiah Nelsen, and Lis Tso dominated the competition in the 200 backstroke relay winning by over 5 seconds. I will get pictures in here soon, but for now, enjoy the one I have time to add.. :) And if you want to meet the team, I need pictures, please send my way. dsoelberg@comcast.net | Boys 2008/09 Swim Schedule
