The Boston Musical Instrument Manufactory was established in 1869 by the amalgamation of the partners and workers of Graves & Co., and E. G. Wright & Co.  In 1913 the firm was re-incorporated as the Boston Musical Instrument Co. and was bought out in 1919 by Cundy-Bettoney Co.
