Problem-Solving Kids

Children love to explore their surroundings, and in these explorations they have many opportunities to learn. As they play they encounter "problems" and these lead them to wonder "why" and "what if".

Problem-Solving Kids is filled with a wonderful variety "problems" which are actually open-ended learning opportunities. The book shows ways you can help children learn in these situations by supporting their every-day investigative experiences. The book includes learning opportunities in art, dramatic play, manipulatives, blocks, science and the outdoors.

These problem-solving activities foster curiosity; encourage creativity; promote critical thinking, social interactions, and dialogue; and they strengthen physical skills. Together, these skills and practices lay an important foundation for every child's life time of problem-solving.
