Paper Balls - A Quick Trick With Paper Bags

Gather These Materials

Where: anywhere

How: Have each child open a luncheon size paper bag. Give each child one large sheet of newspaper and have children do the following: Crumple the paper into a tight wad. Stuff the newspaper wad into the bottom of the paper bag. Twist the top of the bag closed and fold the twisted top over onto the stuffed part of the bag. While the child holds the bag, wrap masking tape around the stuffed bag forming a ball.

Variation:

This activity helps children learn about large motor coordination, and reusing familiar objects in new ways.
