Act 1 Scene 1: Jeremiah is in jail for murdering four
dozen women. His son visits him for the first time.and
says he has changed his name to avoid the notoriety.

Act 1 Scene 2: Paul and Gina get to know each other at her
apartment. They talk about honesty, community, the family
and dating groundrules.

Act 1 Scene 3: Sharon, who was the second of Jeremiah's
three wives, visits him to help herself understand her
guilt at not realizing about him sooner.

Act 2 Scene 1: Sharon and Paul share a spontaneous
liturgical moment dealing with their guilt and grief.

Act 2 Scene 2: Outside a church following a memorial
service for some of Jeremiah's victims, Paul gives an
interview to tv reporters.

Act 2 Scene 3: Disturbed by having a mild argument with
Paul, Gina shares her vision of the evolution of
consciousness with Sharon. Paul unexpectedly arrives. He
apologizes to and courts Gina. He admits some things about
himself, and she as well. But they both leave plenty
unsaid as well. Gina returns a contraceptive that fell out
of Paul's pocket at her apartment.

Act 2 Scene 4:Sharon and Paul strategize he might best
tell Gina that he is Jeremiah's son.

Act 3 Scene 1: Jeremiah talks with jail psychologist about
information that he might trade for more time on the
phone.

Act 3 Scene 2: Gina visits Paul in his livingroom. She
admits to having worked as protitute and he admits to
being Jeremiah's son. Paul proposes that they become
engaged. Over the phone, Gina and Jeremiah ritualistically
relive a pickup-for-murder scene. Jeremiah repents.
