I am a theoretical physicist interested in the beautiful connection between mathematics and the physical world in which we live. If you ever wondered what a theoretical physicist in industry might work on, you can check out my CV or skills list. Otherwise, just read on and you'll get a slight flavor.

Interests

Tactical development in the undersea environment with emphasis on ocean acoustic modeling; signal processing algorithm development on autonomous underwater vehicles for acoustic detection, classification, localization, and tracking; geoacoustic inversion with natural sources; and field theory applications in physical environments.

From 1-Jun-1999 to 15-Dec-2004 I tuned my analytic and computing skills working as an analyst with AMI. My skills broadened immensely upon entering the high-tech work environment: it turned me into a general problem solver with each day bringing a new puzzle to solve in one form or another. I performed general analysis as a consultant with AMI and worked on medium-sized (20-100 thousand lines of source code) software projects customized for the client at hand.

From 1997-1999 I was a postdoc with the theory group at TRIUMF. TRIUMF is located on the beautiful campus of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. My research interests include hadronic physics, quantum field theory, lattice field theory, high-performance computing, and complex systems. Here is a list of my publications from the SPIRES-SLAC database.
