The Poderosa!

The Poderosa is the name of my humble home. Bought in 2001, it's the first house I've ever owned. I've always wanted a house with a name, and since my friend says I'm a Pod (we'll get into that another time), The Poderosa just seemed to fit.

Thanks to my friend Mr M, The Poderosa also has its very own theme song. We're trying to find a way to hook up some speakers to the doorbell. That would be very cool, mainly because it would frighten small children and the mailman. (And after all, if the Jetsons' doorbell can be their theme song, why can't mine?) Want to sing the Poderosa Theme? Well, look below - sing along, to the tune of the "Bonanza Theme." With apologies to Ben, Hoss, and Little Joe. But not to Adam. I never did like him.

THE PODEROSA SONG

We chased lady luck, 'til we finally struck Poderosa! With a remote and a rope and a hat full of hope, we planted our family tree.

We got a hold of a great meat loaf, Poderosa! With an ottoman and a saddle, and a yard full of cattle, Just right for a pod like me!

On this land we put our brand, the Lazy P, that's me. Fortune smiled the day we filed the Poderosa claim.

Here in the East, we're livin' in the best, Poderosa! If anyone fights any one of us, he's first gotta bite me!

S & P and the Barbies know every rock and pine. No one works fights, or eats, like those boys of mine.
