Up on the porch, you were greeted by my Mom, Patti, as Granny Witch.
Mom helped me set up and take down the haunt and I couldn't do it without her!

And me as, well, dead.
This was a trial run with my makeup, Halloween night it looked a little better.

We had a six foot blacklight spider web with lots of little spiders and a Bucky Spider that freaked out a few people.

The cheap five foot web I bought with the orange lights actually looked great in the dark. It was the only thing on the porch that could be seen from the sidewalk. And guests could also pay their respects to Uncle Leroy, who changed from a Blucky to a Mucky this year and looked pretty decent in the low light. I had a red spotlight on his end of the porch and the Bucky Spider web lit up by blacklight, so it was pretty spooky up there.

My electric chair never worked for more than a short time, so it just sat on the porch this year. Next year, I'm going to get it working or else.

Kids got a glow bracelet and candy and went back down to the yard...

Where they passed a large tree and came face to face, so to speak, with the Hanging Man. His knees bent and kicked and his body twisted great all night. I did feel bad about the little girl that ran screaming down the driveway when she saw him. Her Dad barely caught her before she hit the sidewalk.

Next was the poor soul who was stabbed to death, and the snakebite victim.

dehydrated2.jpg - 49.31 kb impaled.jpg - 43.64 kb

Around the bend was a poor man who couldn't quite reach that pitcher of water, since he was chained to a telephone pole,so he expired from dehydration. And on the right, Impaled Man. Looks painful.

burned2.jpg - 61.25 kb

Last but not least, was burned at the stake guy. Emily and I had fun one day burning his clothes in the backyard. Dollar flame pots and orange mini lights under twigs made for a pretty realistic fire.

I think everyone who came by had a pretty good time. We're looking forward to next year already!
