Mid to Late March in the Garden

r Mid-March, plant cool season vegetable crops such as peas, spinach, lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, bok choy, radishes, onions, carrots.

r Mid-March, consider watering on south lawns and drips if conditions are dry, but beware of the hard freezes possible this time of year.

r Plant bare root roses, trees, and shrubs or divide & relocate any perennials near the end of March.

r Sharpen mower blades and replace oil, and switch from the snowblade to mower by end of March.
