| I am one of those people for whom Black & White printing holds a special place in my photographic heart. Although working in the darkroom has its own inconveniences and frustrations, it also provides particularly deep satisfaction. Click on the image or here to see examples of my monochromatic work, including Lith prints. | |
| Nature & Landscape is one of my favorite subjects. This is a Banana Slug making its way through a Redwood Forest near Santa Cruz. Banana Slugs are the mascots for UC Santa Cruz. | |
| I also like to do flower close-ups. The color in flowers is amazing | |
| I don't travel as much as I would like, especially to far and exotic
places. It is fortunate that there are so many interesting places
to visit in the U.S. Usually I take long weekend trips. This
is called Park Avenue and it is in Arches National Park

| I also like to play with alternative processes and methods. This is often referred to as the impressionistic or Monet technique. I gave a presentation on how to do this at a camera club and wrote up the process. You can view the document here. I also have thumbnails of LITH prints on my Mono photos page. | |
| An area I have been experimenting with is pet photography. This is Brandy, a Miniature Long-haired Dachshund. You can see more pictures of Brandy or her step-brothers Remy or Ouzo at their website (several photos are mine). They have a fine pedigree - if you like Dachshunds you can see some of their relatives at the breeder's site, Wagsmore. |
