It all started with this case. The Apex Supercase®. Truth is, I didn't even know the name of it until a while ago when I saw that Linear's case (bit-tech.net) was the same as mine except painted black and has a PLASMA BALL INSIDE!! *drooling*. I put in a side window, top window, and power supply window (not there anymore). Also a blue neon, thin purple neon (busted cheap POS), 3 lighted fans, LED's, and EL string around the tower bezel. And finally, front USB ports, front headphone jack, custom case badge, and toggle switches for EL string and the large neon.
Here's the full shot. Shows the side intake fan, blue neon, lighted intake fan, the rounded cables, and the American flag peel off sticker.
Here is a view of the top, showing the blowhole. I used to have a windowed PSU with a lighted fan, but it sort of died on me. It wouldn't allow the motherboard to the started it with the switch. I dunno why.
The front, showing the awesome EL string, also blue LED power indicator and red and orange lights in the vents. I also stuck a blue LED in the Pioneer DVR-104 vent.
Here's a pic with some light. You can see the toggle switches and headphone jack installed beside the custom case badge. Also, moved the USB ports to the front. That Acer drive is gone now, it burned out on me and would no longer burn CD's. I now have a Verbatim CD-RW drive and I also got a new MSI motherboard and 1.8ghz Athlon XP 2200+ CPU. Oh, and that stupid old CD-ROM at the top isn't there anymore.
Same as first pic but with light. You can see how I installed the window with the nuts & bolts. I kept the effect on the top window also.
Let's just say some of my methods are not the safest. Rest assured the connections are soldered and glued, but I still don't know if I trust it.
Also, I did the cryo mouse mod. It's a lego man in there, he's supposed to look frozen. Credit goes to Japala at Metku.net for the cool idea.
