May 17th, picture day
May 17th was a day of pictures! We did our group shots, our red couch shots and generally waited about. Our US entry visas wouldn't be ready until tomorrow.
So we did what came naturally. We shopped! We also spent some time with our travel group enjoying their company and generally got to know Bella even more.
By now her personality was really starting to shine. People in our group who didn't believe she smiled as much as we claimed when she was alone with us started to see her smile on a regular basis.
Her two favorite toys were her keys, and the room key. With these in her hand, she was a happy camper!
She was eating lots of noodles, eggs, veggies and the occasional cookie. She also really loved yogurt, of which there was no shortage at breakfast! She would only drink juice out of her bottle and had by this time convinced us that she was done with formula.
Here Bella is pictured with children from her SWI, along with the amazing, never to be forgotten Chen Chen! Chen was nothing short of a walking, talking miracle. She did paperwork, directed parents to shops, did more paperwork, collected and distributed airplane tickets, worked with both governments, made us feel secure, did even more paperwork, helped out wherever she could and told wonderful jokes.
