Note: Concerning Joshua² and first marriage. The Vital Records of Newbury, MA Until 1850,lists two Joshua Boyntons being married on the same date - 9 APR 1678. The Stickney Family, a genealogy by Matthew A. Stickney, claims that the Joshua who sired Joshua, Jr., (#3) remarried Sarah Browne on that day. The Boynton Family History and Genealogy, by John Farnham Boynton claims that our Joshua² remarried Hannah Barnet on that date, and shows two other wives, as well as the children produced by each marriage.
