In June 1724, Christopher 2 land to his sons, dividing his estate between Christopher,Jr. 3 and Jonathan 3 . Christopher had settled his portion six years earlier, when. he married at age thirty, and Jonathan 3 had been on his part of the estate for seven years. Jonathan received only half of his land, as Christopher 2 , stipulated that he would retain the right to sell some of the other half, if circumstances forced him to, in order to support himself until his death. The father promised not to sell any of it, unless he had to, and Jonathan 3 would receive the rest after his father's death.
Christopher 2 is not recorded as having held public office, but is listed as husband. His will left very specific instructions to his heirs, part of which concerned a syndicate he formed in 1721 with brother Ebenezer (#13) and William Foster to buy a large farm from the Frye family. Christopher sold some of this land and it is assumed his sons settled the rest.
