2 - JOHN², Capt., son of John¹; b. ca 1630 at England; m. 15 NOV 1653 at Haverhill, MA, to Mary Clemance (see family oo).

John³, Lt., b. 3 SEP 1654; m. Hannah Eires; died 17 APR 1725 at Andover, age 71.

Mary³, b. 27 NOV 1656; m. John Aslett on 8 JUL 1680 at Andover.

Peeter³,b. 30 AUG 1663.

Clemence³, b. 4 OCT 1678; d. 18 NOV 1680.

3 - JOHN¹, born in England, 23 JUL 1595; m. ca 1627 in England to Sarah Booth; he may have come over before 1638. Sarah came in the "Confidence" on April 11, 1638 with four children from Horrell, England. John is listed as a yeoman in Newbury in 1638. One of the original settlers of Hampton, NH; resided in Newbury in 1648; moved to Andover, was a deputy there in 1651, a Sergeant of the militia in 1658. He died 24 OCT 1651 in his 54th year. He signed his will on 2 APR 1650, probated 25 NOV 1651. Heirs were his wife, Sarah (who died 8 APR 1667); children Stephen, Mary, Elizabeth, Hannah, Sarah Clements and her daughter Bakah; servant Caleb Johnson, and 18 shillings were given to the Church of Newbury for a cushion on which the minister could lay his book; the rest of John's¹ estate was left to his son John², and wife Sarah whom he also directed to be executors of the will.
