Collings OM1SB (2001)

Here's a Collings OM1SB, inspired by Martin's OM-18. It features a sunburst Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and tortoise colored binding around the body. The fretboard, bridge, and bridgepins are ebony, and the peghead overlay is Brazilian rosewood. It also features a bone nut (1.75") and saddle, and Waverly tuners.

An accurate picture of the sunburst was extremely difficult to capture; the original pictures made the 'burst too orange/red. The color on these pictures have been adjusted to closely match this beautiful sunburst.

Collings are built in Austin, Texas, by Bill Collings and his team of luthiers. They are inspired by traditional designs but "under the hood" are quite modern, employing a bolt-on neck (rather than dovetail joint) and feature two steel rods running the length of the neck. In conjunction with superb workmanship and beautiful woods, these guitars are extremely stable and sound magnificent.
