Client Accountability Program

The Be Proud Foundation offers a client accountability program for male and female clients, referred by Delaware County Juvenile Court.  In the tradition of the Be Proud Foundation's programs, this intervention is designed to serve clients in a community based setting.  Whether the goal of the Probation Officer is to help the youth offender avoid residential placement or transition back into their community after placement, we can provide intensive supervision and services.  Working as an extension of the Probation Officer, we will closely monitor and report the client's progress weekly.  We will meet with the family to help set up rules and expectations of both parent and child.  Family and client issues will be addressed in an attempt to allow the Probation Officer to work on other issues on their caseload.  We strive to help the client find the road to success through the following:

  • Competency Development
  • Improve math and reading skills (client must have at least a 3rd grade reading level)
  • Life skills – assess and develop customized treatment plan
  • Practical, reality-based counseling for clients
  • Face to face contacts, 4 days a week (school, work, etc.)
  • Daily school attendance/behavioral checks and family contact
  • Family meetings when warranted to improve communication at home
  • Adult mentoring
  • Work with client and family to meet goals identified by probation
  • Staff will be available by phone in the event of an emergency
  • Referrals to other needed services available in the community
  • Supervised computer resource room with internet access available to clients four days a week to improve basic skills, search for employment, complete homework assignments, etc.
  • Weekly progress report faxed to Probation Officer (see attached)
  • Immediate notification of any client probation violation (faxed and phone)
  • Behavioral program
  • Rewards for positive behavior
  • Food and entertainment
  • Consequences for negative behavior
  • If Probation Officer desires, staff will transport clients to weekend community service
