Points
Key Club Pledge Member Dues Points Our '03-'04 Board Mottos and Objects

The way they work...

bulletOne point equals one hour of service.
bulletSome activities will be double-pointed...those activities are rare, though.
bulletIf you sign up for an activity but do not attend without telling the chairperson, you lose a point for each hour the activity occurred. For example, if you sign up for tree planting from 10 AM to 2 PM, but do not attend without telling Armin, you will lose four points.

Why are they useful??

bullet7 points per semester = stay a member
bullet10 points = run for an office (March)
bullet14 points = attend Convention (a really fun thing; happens in April)
bulletThey can be used on NHS (sophomore year or later) applications.

How do I know how many I have?

The Membership Secretary, Manar Abdelkader, collects all of your points and records them, so just ask her after the meeting. She will also send out notices every quarter in homeroom telling you the number of points you have.
